Ferric Chloride applications
Ferric Chloride is a mineral coagulant and is one of the most consuming coagulants and is sold as powder, liquid or crystalline powder. This substance, by reacting with calcium bicarbonate or calcium hydroxide, produces iron (III) hydroxide, which is central to colloid accumulation. Among the uses of Ferric Chloride can be mentioned:
1) Ferric Chloride applications for wastewater treatment
Ferric Chloride applications for improving the initial purification efficiency of sewage, de-phosphorizing, separating heavy metals, bleaching and removing the unpleasant smell of H2S.
2) Ferric Chloride for drinking water treatment
Ferric Chloride applications in resin, to reduce opacity and control water color.
3) Ferric Chloride for sludge Treatment
Ferric Chloride Improvement of the adsorption of sludge, minimizing the use of polymers, reducing the cost of drainage of sludge, controlling smell and improving sludge efficiency, including the use of this material.
Ferric Chloride is one of the most important coagulants in competition with alum. Due to the risk of pathogenicity of the remaining aluminum in water at the global level, there is a greater tendency for Ferric Chloride to replace alum in drinking water treatment. Iran Chemical Mine, is supplying Ferric Chloride (FeCl3) by the best quality and exporting to the esteemed customer which are using Ferric Chloride applications for wastewater and potable water, treatment.
