Paraffin Wax 1-2
Paraffin wax 1-2 or solid paraffin up to 2% oil , is a colorless, odorless solid that is extracted from oil or coal in the petrochemical industry. It is a mixture of saturated hydrocarbon molecules consisting of 20 to 40 carbon atoms. It often contains about 3 to 5 percent oil, is usually milky white in color, and has a jelly-like appearance.
This material typically melts at a temperature between 58 and 60 degrees Celsius and freezes at 50 to 55 degrees Celsius. In fact, this is why we see this material in solid form most of the time. Solid paraffin can generally be divided into two categories: light (macrocrystalline) and heavy (microcrystalline).
