Sodium Metabisulfite

Sodium metabisulfite, disodium salt which represent an inorganic compound that is used as a yellowish white powder in various industries. It has high antiseptic properties and oxidizes rapidly in contact with air humidity. One of the most important feature is the presence of sodium, hydrogen, oxygen and sulfur in it, and their entry into the water will severely damage aquatic animals.

Sodium metabisulfite applications

Sodium metabisulfite uses in some different industries in a wide range, to remove excess chlorine in drinking water and neutralize cyanides and using in desalinate drinking water systems to clean reverse osmosis membranes, to eliminate oxygen in the water and feed water boilers. It is using in wastewater treatment and chromic acid neutralization, and for cleaning and bleaching wool, jute yarn and other plant fibers.

Using in paper making (for bleaching wood paste), Using in photographic and film industries to prepare suitable solvents for acid stabilizing baths. Using in gold precipitation of golden acid (gold soluble in acidic acid) and using as a bleaching agent in the production of coconut cream. Use in the food industry as a preservative and prevent spoilage of food, especially in shrimp, fruit juices, vinegar and lemon juice, seafood, dried fruits, corn, beer and so on. In chemical industry using for reducing agent in purification and separation of aldehydes and ketones (to eliminate bromine-containing wastes) using in the cosmetics industry as a preservative

Packing

This product powder is packing in 20 kg sacks. For transporting  in safe and sound condition, normally 50 sacks putting on a pallet and shrink.
