TEG

TEG (Triethylene glycol) is a viscous, colorless, odorless liquid with the chemical formula HOCH2CH2OCH2CH2OCH2CH2OH. This type of glycol is a class of organic compounds that contain two hydroxyl groups (OH). Triethylene glycol is synthesized from the reaction of ethylene oxide and water, and the resulting molecule is wet and soluble in water.

TEG Applications

TEG, is using as a dehydrating agent in natural gas processing. Natural gas is a mixture of gases including methane, ethane, propane, etc. Before being transported or used as a fuel, natural gas must be processed to remove impurities, including water vapor.

TEG assists in the absorption process and effectively removes them from the natural gas stream. This process maintains the quality and purity of the natural gas and makes it easy to use for energy production. In addition to its use in natural gas processing, It is also used in the production of textiles, including fibers and fabrics.

In fact, it is added to textiles to prevent moisture loss and maintain the softness and flexibility of the fibers. It is also used in the production of personal care products such as cosmetics, skin and hair care products. Another important application is as a solvent in various industrial processes. It is used in the production of polyester resins and other polymeric materials and is generally used as a plasticizer for vinyl polymers. It is a class of organic compounds that contain two hydroxyl groups (OH).

It is synthesized from the reaction of ethylene oxide and water, and the resulting molecule is soluble in water and many other organic solvents. TEG used as a dehydrating agent in natural gas processing. It is also used in the production of textiles, including fibers and fabrics.

It is added to textiles to prevent moisture loss and maintain the softness and flexibility of the fibers. It is commonly used as a plasticizer for vinyl polymers. It is non-flammable, slightly toxic, and considered hazardous. It is generally insoluble in oil, grease, and most hydrocarbons.

Packing

It is normally packing in 220 liter drums, packing in IBC is possible.
