MEG Application
MEG (Monoethylene glycol) application is in Polyester. MEG Polyester grade is used in the production of polyester fibers and polyethylene terephthalate resin, MEG is used in the production of products such as textiles, cables, video tapes, and water and beverage bottles. The solubility of MEG material for cellulose esters increases by adding ketones or halogenated hydrocarbons. MEG is used in the cosmetics industry as a perfume stabilizer and also as a solvent for odorless varnishes. The hydrophilic property of MEG makes it ideal for use in the purification of fibers, paper, glue, leather, printing ink and cellophane. MEG Industrial uses in evaporation and centrifuge systems are the core of purification processes. Dehydration and removal of unwanted solids by MEG (monoethylene glycol) makes the purification process ideal enough to protect pipelines from freezing and corrosion.
