PE wax
PE Wax, act as activator and dispersing material for Polyethylene, Polypropylene, ABS resins.
Waxes are mainly dispersions of polyethylene’s hydrocarbons, or vegetable and animal Waxes in the vehicle system used. They impart slip and scuff resistance to ink films. Our Polyethylene wax is supper dry, white.
Lately, polyolefinic waxes are also used directly in micro-pulverised form.
The addition of Polyethylene wax to hydrocarbon waxes increases the melting points of Such waxes to a marked degree. Polyethylene waxes are compatible with petroleum and other Waxes. Our products are producing by full QC supervision according to ASTM standard and will be guaranteed by Faragam Petro Tech / Iran Chemical Mine, Company.
Polyethylene Wax Production Process
PE wax is a by-product of the polyethylene production process. Ethylene gas is dissolved in hexane and, together with a catalyst, polymerization is carried out in a three-phase reactor. This process has two main and side streams. In the main stream, the polymer is fed with a small amount of solvent, and in the side stream, the wax is fed with a small amount of solvent.
Another type of polyethylene wax is obtained by using the linear light polyethylene molecular chain breaking method. This material is produced with high purity and a narrow chain length distribution. In this method, after producing wax from polyethylene, the polar groups react with the wax chains in the complementary process, producing polar wax, which is used in various paint, polymer, and coating industries.
Another of its most widely used uses is the production of PE wax emulsions, which is very economical. The word wax basically refers to various organic materials that are solid at normal ambient temperatures but become liquid when exposed to higher temperatures. The chemical composition of polyethylene wax is very complex and one of the main sources of its production is petroleum.
Polyethylene waxes have one or more similar molecules and their molecular weights are different from each other. This material contracts and shrinks as the temperature decreases and expands as the temperature increases. Temperature changes have a significant effect on the appearance of waxes and they become more flexible as the temperature increases.
Polyethylene Wax Identification
Polyethylene waxes are generally available in two types:
low density and heavy density. Heavy polyethylene wax has a linear structure and is produced at medium to low pressure, which you should pay attention to the density and degree of crystallization to identify it. High density wax is denser and more crystalline. Of course, if it is not possible to identify it this way,
you can also distinguish this wax from other materials through observation, touch and smell. Polyethylene wax has a sheet-like appearance and its surface is shiny. If this material is cut, no impurities should be visible. Otherwise, the material is of low quality and cannot be used as desired. The counterfeit type of polyethylene wax is rough and brittle at room temperature.
Also, to identify PE wax, keep in mind that the wax does not change state when placed in boiling water. If the test sample changes state, the product is mixed with paraffin and other impurities.
PE Wax applications
PE Wax ,Highly effective external lubricant for PVC ,PVC base color and additive master batch, PE and PP base master batch, External lubricant for wood-plastic compound, Asphalt
Polyethylene Wax packing
Polyethylene Wax , packed in 20 kg multi layer PE bag. Also, based on customer offer packing polyethylene Wax on pallet and shrinking is possible. It should be stored in a cold and dry place.
