Polyethylene wax is used as a waterproof agent in the production of wood composite boards such as MDF, chipboard, OSB boards and other wood products. Polyethylene wax is used in making different types of candles. but candles are not only used for lighting. Polyethylene wax is used to produce chlorinated paraffin, which is a lubricant and flame retardant in PVC pipes. Polyethylene wax is also used in metalworking fluids and other lubricants. Polyethylene wax is widely used in the cosmetic industry and in products such as moisturizing creams and sunscreens. Polyethylene wax is one of the main and important materials of rubber tires and is used to protect the rubber and prevent cracking in different types of rubber. The use of PE Wax in the polishing of wooden floors, which is intended to protect the floors, goes back many years. Polyethylene wax present in the polish slows down the penetration of air and moisture in the flooring, as a result, the life of the flooring becomes longer and wears out later. Edible polyethylene wax is used to make all kinds of fruits and citrus fruits shiny. This substance is sprayed on the fruits to give a better appearance to the fruit and prevent it from oxidizing. Polyethylene wax also added to some cheeses to prevent it from drying out. Edible polyethylene waxes are also used in colored pencils and crayons, and since they are non-toxic, they are not dangerous for the consumer, especially for children.
