Caustic Soda Flake can easily combine with proteins and fats in living tissues to cause chemical burns and may cause permanent blindness in contact with the eyes. Therefore, when using caustic soda flake or its solutions, protective equipment such as rubber gloves, safety clothing and eye protection should always be used. In case of caustic soda flake contact with skin or eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water for 10 to 15 minutes. Caustic soda flake can cause serious damage if swallowed if swallowed, burning the esophagus and blood vessels, and can lead to bleeding and death.
