Caustic Soda Flake Storage conditions

Caustic Soda Flake (NaOH)  should be stored at optimum conditions. First and foremost, it is very important to store Caustic Soda Flake or sodium hydroxide in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from any combustible or reactive materials. A dedicated chemical storage cabinet or room is ideal for this purpose. This reduces the risk of absorbing moisture and other chemicals. Always ensure that packaging or containers of caustic soda flake are tightly closed to prevent any contact with air or moisture. Containers should be clearly labeled indicating the contents, hazard warnings and any special precautions. For longer shelf life of Caustic Soda Flake, it is recommended to avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures. High temperature can lead to decomposition of this compound. On the other hand, low temperature strengthens Caustic Soda Flake and makes it difficult to work with it. Maintaining a moderate temperature range is ideal for long-term storage.
