Tetraethylene glycol is especially used in polyester resins and as a lubricant. Tetraethylene glycol is also used as a chemical and a solvent in the production of ink and paint. Tetraethylene glycol is often used as a solvent in hydrocarbon refining processes and as a binding agent in the production of textile lubricants and formulations. Tetraethylene glycol is used in functional fluids such as in heat transfer fluids, intermediates, lubricants in the production of safe glass and ceramic materials, a surface reaction agent, as a coating and solvent. Other uses of tetraethylene glycol include sanitary products, construction materials, fuels, coloring products, oils, cleaners, gas dehydrating, freezing point reducer, textile, paper making, glue and tanning.
